After a lot of talk . . . . . forum business card

Post by paulgs1000 » Sat May 30, 2015 12:58 pm

I had a pop up come on my computer for 100 free business cards, so I thought for nowt, I'd go ahead and put one together for the Z4 Forum.

They sting you with £4.99 postage but I still thought I'd go ahead.

Because it's free you're limited with the designs available and I had to mess about a bit with the wording (reads a bit cheesy I think) but nevertheless here's what I got back.

There's a place to write in your Forum name so that Chezsherman and Cherrym can give them out as well - I've handed 20 out to Craig and I'll see Mike soon.

It's a start :D

Well - the idea was to have them to give to other Zed owners we come across. We see quite a few around our area, in Tesco car park for example, so I could leave one under a wiper.

But neither Craig nor I think walking up someone's drive to interfere with their Zed is going to be welcomed

I was given one by the representative of the Lotus 7 club when we joined up with them on the Hawick route with an invite to contact if I was ever in Kent to go on a run  Thought it would be a good idea to be able to reciprocate.

With this card whoever uses it can add their name and whatever other info they want as well as details of the forum.

Got Steph to take a card out my phone case ready and we waited with hope . . . . .and waited and hoped. . . . . .expectant at every services and laybys. . . . .

We were turning right at Elsdon and they never did :(

Good idea Taz but being free the designs were limited - they had a car image but it was a Porsche :(

Incorporating the banner is an excellent idea and would be spot on but that's a bit beyond me.

If only we knew someone that was involved in printing and design . . . . . .

Isn't it a bit weird chasing people to join the club?

I had this with the Supra lot which is much more rare car than the Zed. I learned the hard way about approaching strangers with the club cards.

I approached someone in Barnsley with a Supra in a car park and handed them the card. She looked at me like some kind of stalker and drove off. I'd have got a better response if I would have had "rape victim club" on the card. The open van door and roll of Duct tape may have been the issue though.

I have since decided that people know there are internet forums and if they want to join or find out more, they will do it of their own volition. It's a nice thing to advertise the club but some people just down get it. To some it's just a car and not worth getting excited about.

Good luck though.

H.
