Mr Moderator:
Is it possible to have a "Like" button on replies to threads, so that people can quickly show their appreciation ?

Been asked a few times. Not a fan of the idea myself. Enjoy the forum.

Nice to contribute & use real words instead of stooping to fb terms. Just my opinion of course

It's been discussed before and the general consensus seems to be in favour of not having one.

Ooh change and something new... causes a bit of huffing and blustering I’m afraid.
Surely a like or smile for a statement or comment would sometimes be sufficient.
Otherwise you have to quote, comment and it takes up even more space.

I remember last time I commented that I was against it as it might reduce people posting comments. However 5 years later I’ve changed my mind!

It would have saved me writing this. I could have just liked the OP post :D

Why don't just use text speak rather than typing comments - then we can all like what we think the other person said

Sorry I don't like at all it its not worth typing a comment its not worth saying - the first stage of moderation in my view.

My initial comment in this particular case was because the OP is new, has put in a few posts, but seems to want to just read and tick.
I believe we should encourage at least a little communication. It is, after all, a forum not simply a reference source.

I would have "liked" this to agree with it, but I've had to quote and take up space writing this sentence which no-one is interested in :)
