Indicating new posts box gone?

Find it bizzare that the forum update has lost the box that took you to the latest unread post?

Every other forum has this and removing it just looks like all the threads in new posts have been read already?

Any reason for it or alternative way of viewing that red box again.

On my phone I always use the drop down menu from the top right and select New Posts, and on my iPad I use the New Post button at the top can’t see that anything major has changed ??

Although on my phone I can now see the author of the post and the last poster

That doesn't help me though as it makes it just look like it's a new post not something I haven't seen since I last logged on

It will differ across devices. Different mobiles have different numbers of rendered pixels and some may fall below or above a CSS breakpoint that decides it it should hide or show for a particular resolution.

Id be interested to know which mobile devices the people are using that can't see it, compared to those that can. I'd expect those that can see it have phones that render more pixels. For example phones that have top end screens will probably see it, and cheaper phones with less resolution won't.

For those who can't see it on their phone try turning their phone and see if it appears in landscape mode? If my theory above is right then it *should* display there as you should have a larger number of rendered pixels in that mode

Ok, hadn’t realised it had gone, it wasn’t deliberate. I’ll take a look this evening and see if I can fix it.
