Has anyone used First aid alloys exchange service?

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232012730923

I used them years ago when I still lived in London when they were primarily a paint and shop and also did wheels, they used to restore old BMWs amongst other things, and while I can't comment on their wheel work the paintwork I had done by them was of an absolutely first class standard. The wheel exchange service is a bit pricey, I shopped around and got the same thing for around 100 quid cheaper elsewhere.

I've used them (they are 5 mins walk from me). They did a good job on my previous alloys - still looked great after two years - and the price was ok. Not sure whether it was just the finish I chose (light anthracite), but the clear powder coat was especially deep compared to other refurbs I've seen.

I've noticed a few cars from Hampstead going there - Bentleys, 4x8s etc - so that's probably the reason the prices are a little high.

That's an interesting link.

They might provide the answer for owners like myself who use their Zs daily and don't have a set of slave wheels to put on whilst their alloys are refurbished. I'd been planning on getting mine done whilst off on holiday but had been put off by having to leave my car with the refurbishment company for two weeks.

They do seem a little pricey but I'd pay for the convenience.

Just done an exchange on a set of 108's with them, the look pretty good, went for powered coat all over not diamond cut. Couple of mine had small buckle so attracted a small surcharge. Came to about 460.
Looks like all new bolts etc as well, or very well cleaned up, they have BBS stamped in them.
I'd use them again.
