NOW SOLD!!!
2 Former Keepers - £6500 - Located in Retford Nott's - Any inspection/test drive welcome so long as you can prove your insured beforehand.
As I'm now on the hunt for a 35is due to an unexpected windfall I'm selling my Sterling Grey 55 plate 3.0 SE that I only bought in Oct 2015 and, as many will know, garaged it until March this year when I put it on the road.
At that time, it had 37230 miles on it, now, 7mths later, the mileage reads as 38049, less than 800 miles driven since I purchased it, a proper fair weather car to say the least. Garaged all the time.
The car is nearly 11yrs old and does have the odd age related marks but overall, it's in excellent nick. The alloys are 18'' Ellopsoids, again, in good nick and in my eyes, not worthy of a refurb.
Bridgestone RFT's all round that I'm yet to experience any handling issues with that others have mentioned. Fronts were new April 2014 @ 32346 miles so still have a good 6mm on them. The rears have 5-6mm on them.
Full spec is listed below in the VIN Decoder notes. Any other questions this hasn't covered then give me a shout.
Serv History reads as -
02.06.08 - Oil Service incl brake fluid change - 14003 miles - Cooper BMW Wimbledon
28.03.11 - Inspection 1 incl brake fluid change - 22169 miles - Cooper BMW Wimbledon
20.11.12 - Oil Service - 29376 miles - Lawrence Automotive - Melton Mowbray
04.06.14 - Oil Service - 32974 miles - Autostyle Services (Lawrence Automotive - Melton Mowbray
Since I've had it, I've changed/fitted the following just for peace of mind -
6 x NGK 6418 Iridium plugs.
Oil change with Petronas Syntium 5000XS 5w30
Crosland Air Filter
Bosch Oil Filter
Both wiper blades changed for Bosch Aero Wipers AR19U/AR20U
New Genuine BMW front bonnet roundel fitted as the old one had a tiny chip in it.
Perspex Clear Wind Deflector
CDV Delete
LED Footwell lights fitted
ZHP BMW Gear Knob
Peugeot/Citreon Stubby
Gaptech RCH+ module fitted.
Parrot MK i9200 Handsfree kit fitted (by previous owner)
MOT History - Next due 1st April 2017 - Can be verified at https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/ - No advisories since 2012 and this was only for tyres.
The car is kept garaged with a breathable fabric (not cheap plastic) indoor garage cover on it.
The roof drains are clear and the roof operates with zero issues, both myself and the previous owner garaged it all the time.
Roof is in excellent nick and is kept up when garaged rather than down and folded away.
My only caveat is - If I can get anywhere near my asking price then the Gaptech and ZHP will stay with the car, if not, I'll remove them and list them on here as they are virtually brand new. PLEASE - No 1st dibs on these items on this thread as I'll create another IF, and only IF, I decide to remove them.
I love detailing and keeping my cars in a nice clean/polished/waxed condition, the Zed is no exception to this and really has some serious flake pop now it's coated in AF Desire topped with AF Illusion.
Finally, I don't need to sell to help fund the 35is purchase so I'm in no rush but at the same time, I don't need to find a car before this sells.
VIN DECODER brings up the full spec as follows - Some of the more important stuff is highlighted

Wow - that is one lovely looking car!
I've been on the look out for a 35iS myself for 3 months - but not much is coming up that i like.
So starting to look at something like this for the summer here and now.... what a beauty you have there!

I sympathise with you on the 35is search, not many around in a colour and spec that I'd part with my cash for at the moment.
Needs to come soon as the wife likes the SLK350!!

Yes - poor timing on my part and a change of job circumstances at the beginning of the year;
meant i missed out on a couple of reasonable 35iS options - now they just seem over priced.
So.... i must admit i'm very interested in your Z4 as a possible stop-gap for this summer.
What is the bhp on this model? Also do you have any iPod/USB input on this?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Samuir.
It's 231bhp. Sweet 6 pot note to it as all of the 3.0ltrs have. It goes rather well when you need to but I preferred to cruise along in it enjoying the 'top down' feel.
No iPod/Aux inputs although there are a couple of connectors/wires in the glove box that look like they may have been used for some form of aux output.
Your welcome to take a look/drive in it buddy whenever depending on how far you have to travel.

I wondered how the Parrot 9200 was wired in to allow USB and/or iPod input perhaps?
Well - i am rather fortunate, in that i have a good friend locally with a Z4 2.5 SE.
So i might get out for a drive and look see with that initially....
Based on that i can see how i want to proceed....
Cheers,
Ste.

I'm a complete technophobe to an extent I'm afraid buddy so I've no real idea on the Parrot's capabilities, sorry.samuir1974 wrote:Thanks for that detail.nb67 wrote:Hi Samuir.

You'll get a very good feel for the 3.0 once you've taken out a 2.5, very similar I believe despite the decrease in HP overall.
Enjoy the test drive.
Neil.

You mention FSH but it appears to be missing an Inspection 2 service and then the last service you are saying was carried out DIY?

Also weren't the original oil service and Inspection 1 carried out late?

In reply to Matt above, and so has to not falsify what I thought I knew, I've taken a pic of the service book.
I wouldn't honestly know if the above is incorrect/correct that Matt is saying but I'll amend the ad to say Service History but the price remains the same as I'd already pitched it at a good price.
I did, as my previous post's will testify, change out the oil, filters and plugs for MY benefit so that I knew it had been done.
Obviously, this does not satisfy every buyer out there but the SH satisfied me when I bought it and I've taken care of the car while in my possession.
I'll let any prospective buyer make up their own minds on the car when and if they come to view/buy it.
I've tried to make my ad as honest as I possibly could and hopefully that shows.

NOW SOLD!!!
Well.
Chris drove up from Norfolk this morning in the rain, had a very good look around the car and took it for a run, in the rain!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I never drive it if it's wet out so it kind of pained me to see the rain coming down today as I waited on Chris to arrive.
He's a top guy who'll hopefully be having some input on the forum in the coming days/weeks.
Money exchanged for keys and green slip of the V5 and off he drove.
Now to find the all elusive 35is I've been yearning for before the wife convinces me that a SLK 350 is more of a better option for her!!
