Iv had some strange looks when I go camping in the Andreas z4. Especially as the couple in the next pitch brought two cars so they could cruise in their mx5.
Everything fitted into the z4 love its boot.

Don't expect to cram that lot in if you ever go E89 and want to go topless !

Beg to differ on that one as per my last post. I can get everything in mines and the roof down. Like I said it was a stipulation of a new car that it had to be able to fit everything AND get the roof down. But then it's all in the packing. You can fit quite a lot under the storage tray and towards the rear ledge.

I agree on the careful packing but you've never gone on a three week Euro trip with my wife!

My first zed was an E85 so the E89 boot space was a shock. Although we have Roadsterbag luggage, we still use every nook and cranny available in the boot as I don't like the cabin cluttered when I'm on a long run.

I find the fitted luggage more convenient when flitting between hotels. I once did the several soft bags trick and although we got a shed load in when setting off from home, it wasn't always easy repacking after ever hotel stop when all the luggage didn't need to come out at every stop.

Never had any trouble with boot space in the Zed. Fine for a family shop at Tesco. Even had a couple of inflatable Kayaks in there. :)

Nor me in the E85 - but the E89 top down is challenging! Top up its fine and I've done the Tesco bit and hated it but I didn't buy the car for top up motoring.

The biggest faff is having to put the roof up every time you need to put in or take out anything thicker than a cereal box.
And yes, I do know about the comfort pack.

I can get loads in mine.

I usually see friends at the weekends and go straight from the gym. So at any time I have the following :

Black plastic collapsable box with bits and pieces, hi-viz jacket, mini tool kit, puncture cannisters etc etc.

Large leather holdall, gym bag and perhaps two or three bags of shopping.

Very practical and lots of room.
