Good luck with your run up Mt. Magazine Drive. But this is what we call mountains out here. You do not drive up mountains, you climb them with pick axes etc.

Darn the luck. Wouldn't you know it...a great photo op, and somebody has to go and be so rude...
I do know what you mean though... I grew up in Denver, so I'm quite familiar with "real" mountains, and although Mt. Magazine is not in the same league with the likes of the Rockies, it's better than what we have around Fort Worth!
Actually though, the roads up, down, & around Mt. Magazine, and the Talimena Scenic Byway, are very scenic, and a lot of fun to drive. The Lodge is very nice too. Of course, it's the company you keep that really makes it all special anyway!

Just funnen ya. Been to TX a few times, have lots of friends there but have never had time to see other than big cities but I am sure it is very nice.
