Hi all,

After some discussion we have decided to make some changes to the buy/sell section of the forum. We have taken members opinions on-board and decided on the following:

- All members will be allowed to post Z4 related sale ads, thus not removing valuable Z4 items from being on sale
- Non Z4 related items will be posted in a separate section
- Non Z4 items will have a requirement that the poster must have 25 posts to their name before they may post*
- By non Z4 related posts we mean items that may be found to be of interest by the community (computers, music players, cameras etc, rather than sideboards and washing machines) **

Note: The Non Z4 related section is supposed to be an added benefit for members, it is not a replacement for ebay so please do not treat it as such

In tandem to this change we will also be formulating some trading rules (if any of you are familiar with AVForums, you will get the idea). The idea behind this is to make buying and selling on these forums to be a safer and more open process (still at your own risk though, so keep that in mind).

* This will be monitored by the mods and non complying posts may be removed
** This will be run at the moderators discretion. If you are unsure please PM a mod.

Are Z4 cars and Z4 parts going to be in separate sections to as this would make sense, giving three sections in total.

Not planning to at the moment. We will be reviewing both the post count requirement and the number of sections after a month or so, so if there is sufficient number of vehicles posted then we may reconsider.

I certainly favour splitting cars and parts.

I think it would help new buyers in particular.

When you don't have a zed I think you are almost as interested in the sold cars as the ones that are available. Hanging around on the cars for sale forum would be like window shopping. I think most of us need to mooch about on the pavement a while before diving into the shop brandishing the readies.

This seems like a great compromise, good work mod's

Understand the minimum posting requirements for selling,no plans for minimum postings for buyers, bit like say fleabays star system ? Overall great idea and Merry Christmas to all who read this. Steve

Hairdryers are allowed though, after all this is a Z4 Forum

We need a Yorkshire meet so Sars and Taz can flirt face-to-face rather than via this forum! After meeting you both I'm sure you'll get on like a house on fire (although Pete might insist you weld your roof closed )
