The San Diego group is headed for Julian tomorrow at 8:00.
Meeting place: The Church at Rancho Bernardo parking lot.

I will be leaving OC at 6:00 to be there by 7:30 for the meet and greet. The run will start at 8:00. They are planning to have breakfast or early lunch in Julian.
I know this is very short notice. I did not find out about it till today.
If anyone wants to caravan let me know. I will be headed down the % to the 78 and then south on 15.

Re: Julian Drive SoCalZ's
Started the day at 65 deg. with a short meet and greet. Everyone was there on time.
Headed towards Julian.
Six cars and four of us had tops down and enjoying the great day. I had a can opener for the other two, however they opted to just drop the windows.
Arrived in Julian about 1.5 hours later.
We had breakfast at Julian Cafe. Talk about a huge plate of food.
Out past Lake Henshaw.
Headed back to San Diego.
Temps were 65 when started and 78 at the end of the day at about 1:00.
Great day and wonderful people.:cool!:
Did I mention the apple pie. MMMMMMM

I network with a bunch of different groups. Most meets have a good bit of notice and works out a bit better. However the spur of the moment ones are smaller and more flexable. When I see events, I post them up as soon as I can and sometimes I need to get more information.

I sent my usual one time notice to all. I got only one responce from CAZ4. I found out about the drive on Friday and the drive was on Saturday, not much notice. Weather has been so crazy lately, I have not planned much. Snow, rain, two of my roads are closed due to missing roads. One of them in Big Bear. One in LA.
There has been talk of going to Vegas. I was going to try in Feburary, however not knowing the roads like I do in SoCal it has not panned out. There is a group of ///m's going in March ( 7-8-9 ). We have been invited to go to that one. http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107402
Sounds like cars coming from all over. Z's, M3,M5,M6. Open to all cars. A drive and a couple of laps on the speedway, A BBQ and meet.

Sunday
We will have a big brunch (TBA) and as some have signed up for the Track Day event at Spring mountain which will be hosted by Speedventures.com will be going this day....
A few rules for the Mfest to be followed at all times...
1. Relax...Don't be too up tight... remember your coming to the Mfest to have fun, meet your fellow enthusiast/ new friends and have a good time...
2. If your thinking of testing the limits of your car/s on public roads... this is NOT the right event for you. but we will have a track day Sunday for those interested in improving their skills. which will be sponsored by speedventures.com
3. Be respectful with others and do not follow too close....No stupid/ uneccesary moves that will keep YOU and OTHERS in harms way...
The Mfest is open to every enthusiast out there as long as they read and agrees with the rules...
Again i thank you for all your patience and cooperation on this momentus event and start planning and finalizing your trip for the first ever MFest!!!
Btw bring two way radios on this trip...

Re: Julian Drive SoCalZ's
We will most likely leave on Saturday at about 2 AM stay Saturday night and back on Sunday. We will be staying with friends in Henderson. Friday is out for us. By the time we could leave and traffic, it's just not worth it to me.CaZ4 wrote:Bob are you going to this event?
