When I had my A6 the problem was the mechanics lack of ability... Perhaps that's why they are jerkoffs, they're po'd at the Audi mechanics.

I to have had bad experiences with mechanics. It didn't make me go out on the autobahn, b-roads and sit a couple of CM from someones back bumper. I guess that is our modern society these days. One person has a bad day because of one other person. They then go and try to take revenge on any innocent passersby they meet. Sad. They should just take the mechanic out back and kick their butt.

Another for Z4F... I've been on 2x Seat Forums, an Engine forum and VX220.org and even though i've met friends for life off those, i still prefer this one for the information and general browsing. Amazingly this is also the least snobbish with the most liberal Admins.

I also love the fact that it is truly multi-national

The only thing that slightly gets me is the very rare M owner that thinks every single comment about their car should be in the "M Specific" forum, rather than the general one, even though 80% of the car is generic.

your right this is a good friendly place and there are many (probably everybody actually) who is very helpful. the complete opposite on the TT Forum ive found. probably right what they say about bmw drivers actually driving audi's now.

Agree, best car forum I've been on The Boxster one I was on wasn't great, even some other BMW ones aren't as good as this one

I don't think all BMW forums are quite like this one. I should really be on z4-post more often since that's where I'd find local deals (buy & sell) and most of the lounge topics there would relate to me better. But I didn't find it quite as friendly, and have been fed some misinformation prior to picking up the Z4 in regards to the SMG transmission. I was previously a moderator on a huge BMW forum that many of you have probably heard of, and while it was friendly there was also a lot of immaturity and fighting among the members, some of those fights/arguments translated into face-to-face arguments too.

NO pics....well I haven't taken any yet, it's just a square box with wheels. maybe this weekend ... and it's an LR2, the only one without all the bullsh*t air suspension problems. Sure glad I didn't buy the Merc GLK I was going to buy, some of the comments on here re Merc owners make me scared to get one

As for off-roading ..... there isn't a 4x4 built that could beat my old Landcruiser FJ45 so this is just a "get through the winter" rig. Nothing special and the other half really likes it. Gotta keep her happy

Oh, I saw a Z1 on the weekend, the local vintage sports car club had a show and there was a lady driving one around there. (the only Z1 I've seen other than at the LA ZFest )
