When I owned a 231BHP 3.0i Zed I had two really good tussles with a Clio V6 and came out on top (just - by skin of my teeth) on both occasions. I reckon the Zed is a few tenths quicker to both 60 and 100mph but it really was very close.

Can't speak for cornering because both times they were on straight-ish dual carriageways.

Great car btw

Nice pictures, the 255 V6 is one of my all time favorite cars.

Is it really as fun to drive as it looks?

Looking as good as usual Ali :)

But only 2,000 miles last year? Id struggle NOT to drive something like that if I owned it. Although I suppose a Z4MC as a second car kind of helps...

Cracking car, but it's not one for straight-line tussles. I've never been out in Ali's V6 (no idea why not) but have seen and heard it numerous time, they're still one of my favourite cars as an overall experience. I just don't think of it as a Clio, or indeed a Renault, and I love them.

lol. it would get destroyed by the Z4! It's really not all that "Quick" point-to-point! A touch faster than the clio 200/Type R's etc.

But it's 100% more exclusive and makes me smile from cheek to cheek.

Mines pretty well set up and i've never had an "Moments" so to spk!! The press love to lay into the car, most of which can't drive or haven't driven it. If it's good enough for Jean Ragnotti it's good enough for me!

Ally, will take you out soon!

Evo gave it great reviews. Hasn't their ed just bought one? The mk1 was reportedly crashed a lot though.

Tis true the Evo long termer gets glowing reports, they even did a clio test for its anniversary this month. I can definitely see the appeal. To me it's like the z3m coupe, a quirky curiousity that charms the hell out of you. Plus there's nothing quite like it on the road! :)
