Central Display- not working

Post by bigwinn » Fri May 24, 2024 10:42 am

Hopefully the final issue to solve on the project

Fingers crossed

The central pop up display: pops up fine, motor and case are good. Have taken it out of the car and tested it in Steves car- works perfectly.

In the project car there is no display on the screen, however when I unplug it and plug it back in I can see the screen change very slightly suggesting current is getting to it OK

As I am happy with the unit being in working order, what do we think the next steps are to sort?

The screen cable goes all the way back to the navigation computer which is the source. Is the navigation unit spinning up ok?

Two choices, other screen to test with your computer or other computer to test your screen

Yep

Note that there is nothing at all on the display- so no radio/bluetooth menu at all

Otherwise I’d reload the v32 disc

Hmmm. I’m not sure what goes where? Does the screen have a different input or does it get input from the head unit?

Screen goes to computer, radio goes to computer. Computer seems the central point
