Auto fluid change at home? 3.0si

Post by Luke2184 » Mon Mar 11, 2024 3:23 pm

Hi guys

Right I’m going to do a full service this week I it’s cost £89 for engine oil, oil filer, air filer, cabin filer and 1ltr DOT to flush the brakes.

The step tronic 6 speed ZF box I bet has the original fluid stiil and no doubt the diff. There is a service kit for 186 quid which is a new pan, bolts & fluid. Does anyone have experience in this as a diy job, or should I just get a Garage to do it

The car has 97k on her 2007 model.

Cheers
Luke

Pain in the a55 to do it on the drive- mainly as you need better access than axle stands will offer

I do this religiously but only over a pit or on a ramp
If the forum helped you, why not help the forum back. Thats the Z4 way!

Technically it’s straightforward only slightly more techy than an oil n filter change..
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…
A very modified Atacama Yellow 35is
