How to get carpet trims off center console please

Hi , does anyone know how to remove this trim on the side of the e89 z4 center console so I can get the carpet out . Seems to be holding the carpet down.Image[/img]

I might be mistaken but I think the entire center console needs to come out. No doubt someone else will be along soon to clarify.

Yes..it’s a monster job..almost a full strip of thd passenger compartment..if you look at the pre-reqs then… :tumbleweed: :headbang:

Not sure if the E89 is the same idea, but I had to cut the carpet in the Z3 in the centre of the tunnel (under the centre console) as it is virtually impossible to remove as it's one piece! That was after removing the entire centre console, gearlever, etc. :o

You would think they would have made the carpets in easily removal sections, especially as they are prone to letting water in!
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.
