   Ok so you all saved the day! Sigh.
At any rate, you got him down off the ceiling. He thought his last car was going to be a dud and he'd looks stupid and end up with nothing etc etc. And now he's happily thinking up how to kill or terrorise the mechanic at the VX garage.

Start by asking for a refund for unnecessary work would be a good start
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

He got the car back tonight, all sorted. Got the cracked rockerbox too, it's in the boot until he takes it in to the VX dealer and brains somebody with it. Many many thanks to you all, esp B21 for recommending the garage to us and us to the garage :D

Glad it’s resolved..you can hypothesise about the issues but until you bottom it out you never know..
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…
