There's a surprise!

Post by Zed Baron » Tue Oct 17, 2023 12:20 pm

Well, the car went in for its usual filters, oil/brake fluid change (+1 seized brake bleed nipple) + front pads and condition check. My mechanic said that headlight vertical aim control sensor regulation rod was broken, so I had a look on Ebay and the cheapest new one I could find was £23, so, I rang my local BMW dealer..... £12.41, that was a pleasant surprise :D

I always expect to be horrified by BMW parts prices, but every once in a while they're surprisingly cheap!

Car was going to fail it’s MOT, they had me and could charge what ever they liked! Haha.

Front sensor is very easy to change, rear is a little more tricky. Here is a DIY I did for the rear level sensor. https://youtu.be/-J5REa-oWOw

I checked with BMW parts online and yes, its only £12.41 + £4 postage... so I'll pick it up Thursday from my local dealer (only a couple of miles away and save £4  ).
