Hi from new member

Post by GaryR » Thu Sep 21, 2023 1:10 pm

Hi, and thanks for letting me in!

Not quite an owner yet, I'm collecting my 2008 E85 2.5Si in 2 weeks. I have known the car for many years, owned by a family friend, and I am about to take custody. It will mainly be a weekend toy and I'm really looking forward to it. I've had a number of 'toys' over the years but never a Z4. My last BMW was an E92 330i which was my daily driver for 6 years and a fantastic car.

I'm looking forward to learning my way around the Z4 on here and one of my first priorities will be to see if there are any recommended specialists in my part of the world (East Kent).

Welcome to the madhouse Gary. Come on, step inside and let us help you empty your wallet. :D
Not sure what there are in the way of specialists out your way. Probably find the closest one is in the Netherlands.
However, don't let that put you off! Plenty of experience on here and some of us will happily talk you through doing stuff yourself if you feel that way inclined.
Look forward to seeing the pics.

Hi Gary, welcome to the forum, bet you are excited, I was, waiting to get mine, almost 2 years ago.
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

Don't know if your east is south east?

Used them a few times. Have put in my my old Z3 a few times. I book in with a cost/price in my mind
and it has always come out cheaper than i imagined, which is good. 8)
