Aftermarket Oil Cooler
Has anyone upgraded their oil cooler? If so, did you go universal or is there a PnP kit offered for the Z4 M?

Aftermarket Oil Cooler
I had some adjustable brackets made for a Setrab 50-925-7612 (9-series, 25 row). I’m using the setup for the heat exchanger on my non-M ESS TS3 Z4 with Z4M bumper, so I would think they would fit the Z4M. Let me know if you want more details.

Aftermarket Oil Cooler
Hey Pokey, I’m currently looking at an oil cooler set up for my supercharged 3.0i.pokeybritches wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2023 6:15 am I had some adjustable brackets made for a Setrab 50-925-7612 (9-series, 25 row). I’d love to know more about your set up here (rad, rad location, bracket sizes, interface with oil filter housing (I was looking at this https://www.poperformance.co.uk/shop/oi ... nsors.html) etc). I’ll DM you if you’re happy to share. Would also love to know if you’ve seen any real world benefit.

Aftermarket Oil Cooler
I’m using it as an intercooler (for now), which is the same size/location/cooler as the ESS TS2. I haven’t seen the need to add an oil cooler to my supercharged Z4. The oil temperature is broadcast over CAN, and I track it with data logs. An oil cooler may be beneficial if the car is used on the racetrack.Worcester_spoon wrote: ↑Sun Jul 16, 2023 8:39 pmHey Pokey, I’m currently looking at an oil cooler set up for my supercharged 3.0i.pokeybritches wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2023 6:15 am I had some adjustable brackets made for a Setrab 50-925-7612 (9-series, 25 row). I will probably be changing up my intercooler setup soon to support something different. I’ve found the ESS-supplied Setrab cooler doesn’t work well for the supercharger coolant, but it should be great for oil. After driving the car at cruising speeds and shutting it down, the coolant temperature is still 60-80 deg over ambient an hour later.
