This is the most uncharacteristic Z4 video I have ever seen - roof up in sunny weather and an inordinate amount of indicating

I found that the noise is the pinion gears😩😩😩 Also found it is cheaper to change the entire diff with a used one than to put in new pinion gears!!

You sure it’s not a wheel bearing?

Sure hope the change in diff corrects the noise!! Hate to think I’m going to all this work and still not fixed☹️ I’m a graduate of Utube University so I’m tackling the job myself!! Got a salvage diff for $499

I've got a woo woo sound sometimes that increases with speed, like when driving past roadside posts/fencing. My wife says she can't hear it but I can. Since I had my new rear tyres, they are Goodyear asymmetric 6 so can't be them surely, hoping it's nothing more than the hand brake pads sticking a bit. This thread has now got me worried though  If it is bad at least I'm in the UK so help is only 3 hours drive away :poke:

Is the car lowered or wide tyres rubbing on the bodywork as the rear suspension compresses on accelleration, it could be a broken spring but you would have seen that when you did the diff.
