Does anybody know who makes a boot that fits our cars? I believe the e46 m3 one does not fit.

@j3nks79 that Mishimoto link you posted seems to be for e46 m3 not a z4m? Are you sure it fits?

I can’t see why it wouldn’t.
Maybe message the seller to confirm

Rogue Engineering just released one, mine is on order.

The e46 m3 one does NOT fit the z4m as ours has an extra hose/connector.

And the Z4M intake elbow is more like a right angle, whereas, the one for the M3 has a wider angle.

I’d be surprised if this made a real difference on non-turbo cars. In “theory” it helps with flow but I doubt it makes any real world difference.

Maybe it's just to replace an expensive OE BMW pipe that splits?
Trigger’s Z4MC

The theory makes sense to me which is why I am interested in trying it but the cynic in me says no way power is left on the table for what would be a cheap part at scale. So i dont believe turner and bimmerworld claims of 7 to 10 hp or whatever. Also some additional vibration must be transfered vs the rubber flex pipe.

Only once on mine. But I replaced it with an OE one :P

Did look for a full Samco kit when I did my cooling system refresh many years back, but there wasn’t an off-the-shelf kit available, so I didn’t bother.

I stand corrected then. What was the root cause?
