So I’m rebuilding the vanos on my s54 and have read about resetting vanos adaptations after rebuild, this is preventative maintenance rather than being broken but the timing on the exhaust camshaft was out a few degrees.
Does anyone on here have an obd scanner I can use to reset my vanos adaptations in the surrey area?
I’ve tried to download inpa, ista, dis and all the others and none will let me perform any vanos tests.
Any help is much appreciated.

I've rebuilt and fitted many s54 vanos units over the years and not had to reset any adaptations. I'd make sure your using the genuine BMW timing tools and double check the timing by turning over, well, twice!. Happy to advise, just drop me a pm.
