I’ve got a BMW dash cam on the E89 and on holiday in SW Germany last year when it was 35° or more, it decided to drop off. A local BMW Dealer supplied and fitted a new pad and refixed the assy
It’s been hot again here today in Bedfordshire (32°) and the car was parked with the roof on in the sun and it’s dropped off again.
What’s should my plan be?
Get a U.K.dealer who fitted it originally to refix it or find more heat tolerant pads do it myself?
I suppose BMW approved work in Germany should be warranted for 12months?

You don't stop playing when you get old - You get old when you stop playing!
So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

My non-BMW camera dropped off a couple of times in hot & direct sunlight, until I did a proper IPA wipe of the windscreen, let it dry a couple of minutes — and reinstalled. Bought new 3M adhessive pads, identical to those that had failed, from ebay.
