All 326 and 313 wheels the same?
Hi,
Very likely to switch my wheels (17 inch 292 turbines) for either 313 or 326 19 inch wheels at some point - no rush.
If I see either advertised will they always be the same fitment?
i.e. a set of 313s will always be:
FRONT 8J - ET 37
REAR 9J- ET 39
Bonus questions:
- are both as prone to splitting?
- do RF tyres play a big part in the splitting? (I don't run RFs)

326m has 29 and 42 mm offset so not the same..
Also they are 8J and 8.5J
326M are notorious for cracks ..not sure on the others..
Runflats have a major impact (pun) on cracking..although not exclusively

Thanks for reply B21.
So all 326m will ALWAYS be either ET29 or ET42 - there won't be a 326m with a different offset?
They are often listed without offset - just diameter and width. If I have width and the ET is always one of two ^ then I should be golden to assume they're good to fit.

There is one and only one format for 326m
AFAIK only ever used on the E89 Z4

Thanks both.
Good to know that I need to ask for more info on the 313s at least.

All 326 and 313 wheels the same?
Would I be right in saying that all the 313s would be okay but the front 8j ET 37 would ideally have a ~8mm spacer?
The 39 Vs 40 for the 9j rears world make no odds I'm guessing?

5mm spacer would suffice depending on what tyres are fitted..nothing required on rearfatbaldboy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 10:15 am Would I be right in saying that all the 313s would be okay but the front 8j ET 37 would ideally have a ~8mm spacer?

...says he's not in rush.
...finds a set of exact fit (ET 29 / ET 40) 326m and buys them same day. Picking them up next weekend.
Jumped at them as they are crack/weld free (for now...)

I think so. I'm budgeting about £350 for a refurb to change the colour but they were £425 with local pickup. No welds or cracks.
I'll be picking them up one evening this week is the plan.

I like 326’s too but you’d get a nice new set of quality wheels like Veemanns for that sort of money
You get a forum discount with BM wheels

I did look into Veemanns after reading about them on a thread on here but couldn't persuade myself to accept them as an alternative. I tried - but I knew that I would always be looking at them as not being what I'd actually wanted.Argyll Andy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 30, 2023 10:19 pm I like 326’s too but you’d get a nice new set of quality wheels like Veemanns for that sort of money
A set of the Veemanns would probably have been the sensible option.

I had a set of pristine 326’s which included 2 newish (6 months old rears), put bigger profile PS4S’s on 265/30/19 and hairline crack appeared in just over 50 miles. They’ve sat in my shed sincefatbaldboy wrote: ↑Mon May 01, 2023 3:30 amI did look into Veemanns after reading about them on a thread on here but couldn't persuade myself to accept them as an alternative. That’s the main reason I suggested a much better quality alternative. As I said, 326’s are the best looking wheels for an E89 imo but they’re also made of chocolate
