SoCalz's - December 1st - 2nd Annual Desert Run

Hey everyone!

For those that went last year, yes, it's official - the 2nd Annual Desert Run is on!

For those that didn't, well this is your lucky day!

On December 1st, we will be having a run to remember. I'll need IMZ4N's help to organize, as he is the master of all SoCalZ runs...and the help of anyone else who'd like to jump in.

The plan is do a nice leisurely ride down Highway 74 to Palm Desert, then head to a secret location for a BBQ hosted by good friends....and some fun driving in a very unique location, to be disclosed in private.

Last year we also did a Tamale Run, which also is on December 1st this year, but might make for a long day.

Who is in? Any input on the day's events are welcomed!

We are in for sure. This is such a unique event and we will not miss it!!!!! This event is talked about every time we get together ( any of the group that went last year ).

My advise is, beg, borrow and steal. You may even want to lie. Do not miss this or you will be sorry, I guarantee it.

We can meet at 1:30 AM Saturday morning to head to Reno. Its only 8.5 hrs there and another 8.5 back, 1400 miles round trip.

Hey, I did have a bit of touble with my car on this last trip. First time it has happened. Long story short. got to Az and turned it off, when i turned it on, it was running rough, but only at idle. Got home just fine with her. Just got it out of the shop and $1200 later, she is good to go.
Where do you want to meet? If we aren't there, just wait, eventually we will pass by that exact spot...

To pharaphrase a lovely old rock tune ... Wild Horses couldn't keep me away ... from this event! Got it in calendar, and we'll be there. As I recall, somebody(ies) have a birthday then, we maybe should get an appropriate gift.

Any idea of what city we might start in?
Where do we stay the night?
Where do we end up on Sunday?
I know we don't have the specifics yet, just trying to get some idea so I can tell the boss (wife) about it...
