Drive: Planning on dirving Angeles Crest Hwy to Palmdale cuttoff and going to pick cherries. Have lunch in Palmdale and
then drive towards Wrightwood and travel HWY 2 back to the 210. HWY 2 has been closed for almost 3 years as part of
the road slid down the hill. Work has been completed and is now open to traffic. This is roughly 150 miles from
the start point, to the end point, which is actually the same place.

TIME: Meet at 8:00 am, Sunday June 14 at the 2 and 210 just north of the 210 ( park along the curb )

BREAKFAST: at 7:00

WHAT TO BRING: Something to put cherries in after picking. Perhaps a coolier. Sissors to cut the cherries off the tree , as
the cherries will keep better if the stems are left on the cherries. You may need to eat the ones with no stems.

Excellent idea bob and good planning! My wife and I will be doing breakfeast just a block from the starting point at a place called hill street cafe at 1004 foothill blvd Flintridge which is approximately the intersection of the 2 and foothill. ... We'll be there at 7am for anyone wanting to join us for a bite.

Count us in, Bob. Charlotte can't decide if she wants sweet eating cherries, or tart pie-making cherries. I expect that it will be some of both, as available.

Well, you are going to have to bring Kathy some cherries back. We gotta go to San Diego that day for her Aunt's 80th birthday. I just don't see any way to go from Palmdale at noon to San Diego by noon... So make us a cherry pie and we will come over on our way back....

lets see it's 1:10 minutes from here. Drive starts at 8:00, so we will leave the Starbucks at 5:45, so you won't need to leave till 3:45, thats not 3:00.

-I'm not sure. I really don't want Kristin to miss her Saturday grappling class (she's missed he last three for various reasons). That gets out at 10am. I'm wondering if it might be best if we head straight to the cherry place and meet you guys there. Then take the long drive back with the group.
