We drive a DS3 cross back as SWMBO wanted a small SUV as we live in the wilds and it is fairly remote despite only being a mile or so from the local town.
The lane to our place is pretty rough so the Zed only gets used once or twice a week right now, the bit behind the car is far worse than this image, its ok if you drive very slow.

A couple of minor niggles initially but Porsche were all over them. Some different noises to get used to but apparently all very normal. Even though it’s not the classic flat6 sound, when you put the foot down the rumble is infectious so I can’t fault it whatsoever. Stick that sports exhaust on and sports mode and it becomes a comical beast!
Best thing is just how solid it is. You can point it in any direction at any speed and it just obeys your every word. Fun like I’ve never had in a car before.
You still got your G29 on order?

I was driving this lovely wagon up until recently, it was the 3.0tdi quattro sport in manual too! Had all the options ticked like B&O system and the pano roofs and a lovely colour. BUT I just sold it to put funds towards a house purchase. Somehow i sold it without losing any money over 2 years of ownership which I thought was a bit bizarre for something that had done 130K miles too. It was either sell this or the Z4 so the Z4 had to stay much to the delight of the other half of course
And recently bought this little pocket rocket! It's great fun and being the PD130 it seems pretty bombproof and does 60/65mpg if you want it to as well! Not quite as refined as the Audi, but once the house stuff is out the way hopefully can get something nice again. Still in my 20's (just) so i feel i can still justify a hot hatch properly I've been reverting it back to standard, so have some nice freshly powdercoated OEM alloys to go on.

Nothing at the moment - the Z4 coupe serves as our daily driver (which in practice, save for some local journeys, is a weekend car as we live in London).
If I could park a second car, a part of me would go for something sensible like an estate. In which case perhaps E61 550i. But the other part of me says get another two seater (F Type, V8 Vantage, Cayman or similar)

Replaced by a 335d... to take said dogs, but also now a child.Jakg wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2019 10:57 pm Mines a second car - my daily is a RenaultSport Megane 175:

My requirement is economical (diesel) and be able to fit my dogs in the back.
Bit stupid having a 2 door and then a 3-door for "practicality" - replacement likely to be an E91 330d.
If you want petrol - what about an Audi S4 B8 avant?

Here’s a little update on my 200... she’s away for the winter now, but it’s not stopped me getting newly refurbed wheels on, and giving it a slightly more unusual look! My fave mod so far though, has to be the Blaupunkt Bremen, complete with DAB and Bluetooth

Got a new daily after a couple years with a very efficient but utterly dull German SUV.
It's like a sofa on wheels with a nice growl from the supercharged V8.
