Hi Phil a, I had been planning to move onto non-RFTs for my E86 but it doesn't look like it will ever happen.
I've got an unused 17" E46 space-saver, jack, wheel-brace and a made-up platform in plywood to fit the "step" in the bootfloor that I ought to sell.
I don't know much about the Alpinas, but a 17" will fit on a 3.0Si facelift which had 325mm front discs I believe - so long as Alpina front brakes are no bigger it ought to work fine.
The only issue is I would want it collected, so it probably depends whereabouts you are (I'm in Berkshire). If it might be of any interest PM me - if you send me an E-mail address I'll try to get some photos of it in my boot tomorrow (I don't know how to send photos on a PM).

Hi MR Tidy
Thanks for the offer but I am down in Plymouth on the Devon/Cornwall border I have a space saver on my m235 that I was going to try but I have just had hunter tracking done after having the Bilstein b12 kit fitted and the garage that fitted them must have done the wheels up with a windy hammer as I can’t get them undone I have used 5ft tubing on the exstention bar and still can’t shift them so it’s a visit back to the garage and watch them like a hawk ( bloody cowboys) many thanks
