Next step is to try the BMW machine at my local Indy and see if that will do anything else.
Failing that I'll start looking at remap options.
Hmmm Not good buddy as said mine simply had a custom remap to tell it had intake loose eml and no catts with my rear pipes then moved torque etc about

Confused mate, Phill, don't you already have a remap from your cams?

I am running an evolve remap for my cams yep. And it was perfect. After the cat removal the hesitation is present at 3k rpm.
D4dawg had the same problem as me, after decat hesitation at 3k rpm. His issue was resolved by a custom remap.

Imran at Evolve says he can't do anything to resolve this issue and I should remove the decat pipe if I can't accept the flatspot.
But that goes against what D4dawg has experienced and had fixed.

So my plan is to approach the same specialists who fixed D4dawg's problem as it is the exact same symptoms I am experiencing on the same S54. (however mine is running the custom cams map and not the stock map). I can't see any other way out of this other than a remap.

interestingly i swap between no cats and cats and get zero issues or flat spots... no retune needed.

Would it? I don't know. I thought N/A cars have more need for backpressure. And yours is also Alpha-N yes? Though i dont know if OP's is as well.

Mine also didn't require re-tune. Anyways, i guess non of that matters.. Hopefully Dawgs mate will tune it out. Fingers crossed. That is one thing about Evolve though that i don't like, is the lack of offered support to you Phil. :|
Anyways mate, subbed and really hoping this will sort it out, which i bet it will.
