My 2010 appears to have the original battery but it's not an AGM
I think mine may also be on its way out, but as I've only had the car less than a month I shall hope the dealer is sympathetic, I have a warranty with the car but batteries are not covered.

Ive had mine less than a month but am not thinking I will get anything out of the dealer....

The battery still works ok, it just throws the odd glitch.....

I put it on an intelligent charger this afternoon at 3pm.....its now 10pm and its still charging!

Ive turned it off for the night.....will maybe give it a go again tomorrow to see how it fares...

Left mine on an intelligent charger for two days and it was still charging, at least I didn't get the red light of doom, but then I didn't but get the green one either

If it’s an intelligent charger I’d leave it doing its stuff overnight

Definitely! My car isn't my daily and stays connected to a CTEK intelligent charger whenever it's in the garage. When I bought my car I queried this aspect: BMW actually recommended it. The cars you see in the shiny BMW showrooms are all permanently connected to intelligent chargers.

Experience with other cars I've owned showed it can take up to 3 days for the battery to reach it's optimum level. They're very different to normal battery chargers.

Last car came with a newish AGM. Battery still going strong when I sold the car 6 years later. Leave it connected - does no harm.

Cars back on charge today...will keep an eye on it.

If the worst comes to the worst, a new battery is not ridiculous money so I will just bite the bullet. Just thought it best to try an intelligent charge first. Get it up to maximum charge and see how we go from there.
