No mate, I was running the BMW performance calipers on my old 3.0si!! I've got AP-Racing brakes on the M

They worked brilliantly too, road and track! Once you've got through your teething issues you'll be chuffed with them I'm sure, keep going

Anti squeal shims I think.
Copper slip might do the job instead until the pads have worn s bit.

I'm guessing mine must have been removed because I didn't have the fitting issues, but if it helps I never had squealing issues with the oe pads. Ds2500 were a bit squeaky but that never really bothered me.

Pads ground down to 15.8mm on the sander. The callipers now slide over the disc like a dream.
The brackets have arrived, too.
Scheduled install for the 15th Feb. Whoop whoop.

I've hardly driven them but initial impressions are good.
Although I do have a longer pedal, the power is there but there's more pedal travel to get it.
I'm not sure if this is a characteristic of these callipers on the 3.0si or maybe a 2nd bleed is needed.??

On the E85 Z4M is there an option like on the E89 to enable ‘performance brake’ option in the DSC system?

I changed mine to that option when I fitted those calipers…

I certainly have a firm pedal..

What did you have to do to make them fit in the end? shave a few mm off the pads?

I found my pedal was a little longer than previously with the OE calipers, but that's because you're moving more brake fluid with the 6-piston calipers than the single piston OE calipers. I actually found it a nice improvement once used to it, as it permits better pedal modulation.

Can't comment on the performance brake coding, I never bothered.

Mine is firm, but further away than it was yesterday.
I'm a noob when it comes to coding, and I suspect the E85/86 platform has a more limited set of variables, so this might not even be an option.
