Winter workhorse - Cheap.

One question Mr Nally.....
Why do you go to the tip (recycling centre now of course) so much when you live in a flat?
Just curious.. :)
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

Good observation Mr P. Also notice how empty the car park is, are the fellow residents being transported in said car to the recycling centre? :o

The other residents only visit in the Summer (second homes as they are too poor to have them somewhere nice like Sandbanks or Cornwall).
Nally is the caretaker for the building and gets a flat at discounted rates, but pretends to be something in shipping! :poke: :poke:

Still basically on a liquid diet. Weight = 61.5 Kg :x (9 - 11lbs)

Have seemed to come out of a "Chemo fog" today. Hope i get a holiday from it until
round 2 which start's Jan 10th.

X3 has been faultless so far and felt good climbing into it today. Was well enough to go drive for supplies.
Went the long way round to get proper warmed up etc.
On getting out i was thinking what a brilliant purchase.
Yes, yes i know i could have spent 10 x more and got a 100 x better car, but could not think of one reason why i would want to do that.

So all good 8)

Good to hear the update and a bit of a break, however short.

The x3 sounds like a real good one, unbelievable value for money.

I don’t know what pension arrangements you have, but as you are over pensionable age I thought you could take it in your circumstances.

As said elsewhere Sean, thinking of you, and wish you all the best.

As for the X3.. it was a great purchase IMO. As someone famously once said (can't remember who TBH) "most excellent....congrat's".

Good to see you were up to taking the workhorse out Sean, and now have a break in the treatment.

It sounds like your X3 fits the bill too!

Shame I won't see you on B21s March jaunt but obviously you have other priorities right now and I wish you all the best with your treatment.

Given your location and telescope I reckon you might be an undercover Harbourmaster.

Pensions seem to be a bit of a minefield but I hope you may be able to take yours before State Retirement Age. I did and it's the best thing I ever did. :)
Coupes because stunning!

Winter workhorse + Health update

Post by N4LLY » Thu Jan 04, 2024 4:51 pm

Update:
Hospital visit this morning.
Good news: Dr. Very happy, seems i have responded extremly well to round 1 of Theraphy
Bad news: Dr. not going to tone down the doseage for round 2. So another full on wallop of meds next week :|

Mr Tidy, Re the DPF. Squeezing in as many trips out as possible.
EG. Need to do a supplies run for 2 weeks worth in readyness for a 2 week lock down. Will go the long way round.
Monday and Wednesday have 2 x 30 mile round trips to the Hospital. These enough for a regen' you mentioned ? :?
Have also offered to the guy's at work to use if they require.

New Bosch windscreen wiper's fitted front and back. £20 the set, best upgrade ever.

Having a look / check under the bonnet, noticed this, am sure its air intake. Man handled it but does not budge. Will need securing properly.

Still very clean inside, does not look used.

Sorry for the ramble, but i am bored :D

Don't open it unless you want to hear it rattle from that moment onwards

I opened mine to clean it and now it rattles and creaks.

Good about the hospital update though, at least if you have gone through the pain it is good to hear it had the desired result

Hi Sean,

Good to hear that you are responding to therapy .
I went to the dentist today for the first time in 10 years due to toothache over xmas and new year and they have been having an awareness of mouth cancer including charity runs etc . Would you mind sharing how you came to be diagnosed as this may help other people including myself if they have similar symptons .

Thank you . Tony .
