Hi guys, first post here.. I've had my beloved E85 Z4 2.5si for nearly a year now, been a joy to drive, but a fully functioning roof would definitely make it better!

I knew there was a problem with the roof before buying the car. The roof comes down fine, but I need to pull it with my hand whilst pressing the button until it's half way up, then it will finish the remaining journey by itself without any assistance, although not as quickly as it probably should.

Not sure what the problem is, but I would be interested in having somebody relocate the motor into the boot. I'm based in Canterbury (Kent), but wouldn't mind travelling within a reasonable distance.

I have similar issue with my Z4 - please may I request your contact details/location via private message please - I'm unable to send you PM directly due to being a newbie.

I'd definitely be interested in relocation of motor and if you are able to revive it.

I'd definitely be interested in relocation of motor and if you are able to revive it that would be superb as it was working fine then out of the blue - nothing when pressing the buttons - just a flashing red light and no noise - not even windows moving when pressing the roof button.

Got a new 08 Z4 and the roof doesn't go down. I am based on the East London / Essex border.

Hi - had my Z4 for a couple of years but the roof has now stopped going down. I assume it is a problem with the motor.
