Not sure it's clear who holds the patent any more, but even if they did the manufacturer could license it from Ford anyway.Breaker wrote:I had one on my BMW MINI.sp3ctre wrote:I was under the impression Ford currently hold the patent on that feature... not sure though, might be corrected on that oneBreaker wrote:Heated front screen!
It would make a lot of sense in most markets.
The new Z seems to have most bases covered, not sure if there is much I would add. Maybe perforated brake discs on the 35i - I know they don't do much performance wise but they look great, especially on such huge rotors.

Really!!? I call that progress! I only use my handbrake when I park the car.Rick Hunter wrote:A proper hand brake.
Sorry... I keep harping on about it, but as I see it... it's a deal breaker for me.

I think BMW realised the Coupe was the better looking car, but had to come up with a folding hardtop so they could keep the roadster name!
I'd always choose sitting in a hotel over sitting in a tent!!

Is "reduced ugliness" a feature? If so, that is what I would like on the new model....

Why be dull and sit inside on a sunny day when you could be outside enjoying yourselfBreaker wrote:I think BMW realised the Coupe was the better looking car, but had to come up with a folding hardtop so they could keep the roadster name!

Re: What features would you have liked to see on the new Z4?
I had an E46 with a slick feature on the passenger side rear view mirror. When you put the car in reverse the mirror automatically turns down allowing you to see the curb. This makes parallel parking without scuffing your rims an easy deal. I really miss this feature on the Z. Thought it was standard on all BMWs, guess not! Sometimes I park way out from the curb, other times I open the passenger door to see the distance, not willing to risk it.
