Hi, toying with the idea of trying a few laps on track in my 03 2.5i but can't seem to find much info on if the the brakes are sufficient.
Currently running a completely stock setup, but can see there are guides for replacing the fronts with the E46 setup. Is this necessary or as a novice am I able to get away with just replacing the pads and fluid for something track worthy?
Cheers

2.5i brake setup for track
You'd be fine on standard pads and fluid, but you might be limited by how many laps you could do before either the pads or fluid overheat.
Stick some decent track oriented pads in that resist heat fade and some fresh high temperature brake fluid and you'll be fine. If you do notice some fade, it's time for a cool down lap and then a quick break.
