I’m sure the OP will confirm, but has been looking for one for a while according to post history.

What I’m more intrigued about is the new poster who’s one and only (currently) forum post drops a hand grenade in the thread

It’s clearly a quick flip job. But prices are way down so it won’t be selling for his asking price.
It worth what he paid for it a few weeks back.

I’m not flipping the car and I’m not a trader. It’s for sale due to a change of circumstances which I’m more than happy to explain to any potential buyer. Long story short, a second child on the way, with only two seats I thought it would be a good weekend car but the 911 has four useable seats and roof rack and makes more sense for us to keep alongside our new car and my other toy (a 130i with the same engine). Should have thought about it more beforehand!

I spent a long time finding one as you noticed. I was the only buyer to view the car before auction close.

There’s nothing wrong with the car and any inspection is welcome.

Happy to have a call with anyone.

Why is it worth £3k more than it was 3 weeks ago?
What have you had done to it?

Value is an estimate based on "proper marketing". There is an argument that the auction market is not "proper marketing" it is marketing solely to traders and a minority of enthusiasts, and therefore a car that can only reach £9k to auction buyers could reach much more if open to buyers who can come along, inspect for two hours and do a test drive.

I am tempted to say that the market value is £10.5k... and that doesn't mean I think the value is £10.5k it means I think the value is somewhere in the £9k to £12k range and that the only safe thing to do faced with that uncertainty is to value it in the middle. At £10.5k I can't be more than 15% out, whereas if I value at £9k I might be 30% out!
