For more of an impact I removed the OEM tail pipe trims for larger versions. These just fit onto the original N52 backbox and are about as large as I could fit in place. I tried the usual "jet" slanted ones, but they didn't look right. I hated seeing the straight original pipe inside and the fact they were a slightly smaller diameter than OEM was even worse.
I would prefer a straight cut tip myself but the inwardly rolled still looks alright.

PM sent mate.
I needed a pen for the rear compartment holder. Got a set from BMW lifestyle along with a new cap (Blue on Blue). Excuse the dark pic, cover over the car in the garage.

When I purchased the car the engine bay was tidy but I gave it it some more TLC. I love how the under trays on the BMW keep these engines bays so well preserved.
I also removed the airbox, replaced the air filter cleaned the box out and wiped down the panels etc...

Over the winter I went over the car thoroughly and gave it a good old clean underneath and finally an under seal (Lanogaurd). The Lanogaurd was applied in the wheel arches, under exhaust heat shields & behind skirts where water may get trapped etc.
I removed all the arch liner plastics, took the side skirts off, heat shields off, dropped the rear backbox etc... Everything was scrubbed, wiped down clean before tidying up and applying underseal. I ended up naturally replacing lots of fixings for neat new ones. For a 17-year-old car it was in great condition to be fair. Its my first BMW but it’s good to see they’re certainly made & preserved well.
I replaced the rear shocks while they were removed for cleaning access. However, in recent weeks all the suspension has now been changed for new, I will update pics / details on that shortly.

The large under guard at the rear got a lick of paint while that was off along with cleaning the heat shield under the backbox also.

The exhaust got an "internal clean" while off. Tidied up and fitting with the new exhaust hangers (Poly ones from Powerflex).

I had a weekend away with the wife so naturally took the Z4C for the drive out. 1st real use of the car an it was a lovely place to sit for a few hours. Great sized practical boot for a coupe to, got loads in!

Last month I had new suspension fitted.
Bilstein B4 shocks, Eibach Pro springs. Usual new BMW springs pads, Meyle HD top mounts, new BMW spring supports, bump stops, boots, Lemforder drop links & anti roll bar bushes etc. I spent a fortune @ BMW for fixings, bolts and brackets all round where needed. I must whip a wheel off and get some photos.
While the car was in for that work, I also had the clutch delay valve removed.

That’s very clean underneath. I’ll be shopping the arch liners off in due course to clean the arches out properly and check of any unwanted surprises.
It’s worth asking your local parts depart for a discount (mine were happy to offer 10% before VAT which makes them about the same price as ordering from Cotswold especially by the time you add in postage). It’s not much, but it soon adds up because some of the bolts and fixings are expensive for what they are.
