Car going into limp mode at high RPM

Post by JackBabinski » Thu Apr 11, 2024 7:05 pm

The other day I was sending my car kinda hard down the road holding it at about 6k rpm and as I was accelerating the engine suddenly started chugging and power was greatly reduced. I was able to pull to the side and restarted the car and the issue went away. It happened again just recently under the same circumstances and restarting fixed it again. I checked it out with my code reader and both times I got “DME inlet camshaft position sensor: signal duration” as well as multiple misfires. I assume a bad sensor but what can I do to test it?

My suggerstion would simply be to change the sensor.
HQ of 'Norfolk Zed Rescue'.

Car going into limp mode at high RPM

Had my 08 DCt out nowadays become walking satisfactory, however at higher RPM 7k it kicked into limp mode and lit up like a Christmas tree. Turned it off and began it returned on and the whole lot was regular, then it stalled. Started returned up no problems. At one point after I elevated in limp mode it'd no longer cross, had to tug over and flip lower back on.
