It’s about time my 17 year old, 70k miles, 2.5 manual Zed, required a gearbox and diff oil change.
Been quoted £300 by an indie. Does that seem about right??

At current labour charges yes probably.
Couple of hours work, plus oil, plus VAT, plus disposal of old oil, etc., etc.
