E85 Bluetooth Adaptor

Post by Ian Wil » Wed Mar 06, 2024 11:14 am

Hi,

Has anyone recently bought 1 of the plug and play Bluetooth adaptors that plug in to the rear of the unit for the E85 Z4 Business CD/Radio from Ebay or Amazon?

Cheers

Ian

E85 Bluetooth Adaptor

Hi ian,
Try looking up bluemusic adapter on amazon/Ebay. Have had in my E85 and E86. Simple plug and play that even a numpty like me could do it.

Works like a dream to play music from your phone. Although not that great in my experience for phone calls as there's no microphone. Should still be fine with roof up though.

Regards
Rick

I have looked but all the Ebay 1s I messaged with the Unit OEM number have said they don't fit and Amazon has a range from £15-45. Wanted to know which 1 works and what the sound quality is like from someone who has actually fitted it 😁😁

This one works well for me.
It is quieter than the radio, but that's only an issue if you forget to turn the volume back before you switch to FM.

This is the item. Make sure it works with your radio. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09V6ZGDMW

Happy just to chuck it in a First Class Jiffy bag next week. No need for postage. It's only taking up space here when it could be put to use.

I bought one today and fitted it without any luck. I think you need a CD multi changer function on the head unit for it to work.

Think it depends on the adaptor.. I bought a cheap AliExpress one that would connect but no sound.
