TRU 777H Number Plate

Post by Mos6689 » Fri Feb 23, 2024 12:31 pm

Bit of a long shot posting this on here as it’s not related to Z’s but thought it worth offering. Private plate TRU777H on retention certificate & ready to go. Asking £3500 in ads elsewhere. Here I’ll ask £3k flat.

Any questions please PM me.

This is only going one way.
£3k for a 7 digit plate which really doesn’t say anything isn’t going to go down very well on here.

Never a truer word said TBH.

I didn't realise we were still in 1987.

Does the asking asking price include transfer fee (and a free Wren kitchen)? :D

TRU 777H Number Plate

Yea it’s the internet. There’s keyboard warriors everywhere.

FWIW it’s been valued by 7 different number plate companies and valuations range from £2250 at the lowest, up to £3750 at the highest. Yes they’re brokers but I’d rather put my trust in those who do this for a living, as opposed to the few who get satisfaction out of shitting over something they don’t agree with. It’s a number plate! It’s each to their own, some see value in having a 4 digit plate that means nothing apart from the fact it has only 4 characters or it may be their initials. I personally rather it spell out (nearly in this case) a word. 90% of people who read it, have an imagination & see what it spells. Others frown upon it because it has too many characters. How much it’s worth is the same as anything else, how much someone wants it.

Yes it was. Nice to hear a 7 digit plate was memorable to a stranger a few years on

It says TRUTH
Have you considered advertising it on a TR7 owners forum? It doesn’t spell Triumph either, but at least it would justify the sevens.
ETA - it’s a serious suggestion not a :poke:
As you said, it’s worth whatever someone will pay for it.

£2250 to £3750 is a very wide range of valuations from the Brokers. But they advertise number plates for years at a time before selling some.
The market will dictate the price and if you want to know it’s true value stick it on auction.

Have you asked any of the brokers to buy it from you? That will give you a more realistic valuation.

My wife saw it as truth straight away, I genuinely didn’t. Even now knowing what it represents I think it's a very poor plate as I suspect very few people seeing it on a car would realise it was a private plate.

My dentist had FILLS on his 911, not sure what that would have cost but it made me chuckle.
