too much to insure
Well, never heard anything like this before. The husband of my wife's friend sold a car to someone who then returned with his mates to ask for his money back because he wasn't told by said husband how much it would cost to insure. Needless he and his mates were told where to go or the police would be called. Also sitting in the car today drinking coffee by the beach, this weirdo carrying shopping bags started looking at me and the car, tried to ignore him, till he tapped on the window. Wanted to know where I had bought the car and then insisted that I hadn't bought it, I'd nicked it and it belonged to his mate. Got told by wife I was becoming too aggressive with him He was also told where to go. The fecking world has gone mad and IMO is full of absolute twats.

Well you do live in the West Country, Mikey.
I know stuff like that would be 'normal for Norfolk'....maybe it's catching?
There are some very strange people about, with some even stranger ideas, TBH. You stay here, mate, with all the 'normals' like me!

All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

Sure will, safest place on planet earth apart from the place with the little creatures with big heads and large eyes I go to in the woods sometimes.

Settle down Mike. Probably just Scoucers on holiday. After all every one knows there is no stress in the west country.

Never had such a problem here in Leicestershire, although there are some weirdos about, (like me).
I have had a couple of z4 related experiences which were good natured, like the time that a group of mildly inebriated guys crossed the road in front of me, one of them paused and kneeled down and kissed the bonnet of my car! Another time, as I as stopped at the lights, a guy walking by took out his phone and began photographing my car from all angles. I waved and obliged by lowering the roof for more pics.

Was it a Land Rover by any chance?
Seriously - I do see more and more cases where they are handed back to avoid insuring them.

I think it was, he likes to do them up and sell on. More a hobby than a business.

He works for a plumbing company, 250 quid to remove the central heating header tank out of the loft and swill out all the years of gunk and refit, and worth every penny for me not to do it
