BMW z4 e85 2008 2.0 sport
Has anyone got any idea on how to fix the roof when there’s a leak coming from behind the drivers seat? I’ve been quoted only £150 to fix as apparently it’s a job that can be done without taking the roof off,
I filled the pump with fluid and when I activated the roof I heard air escaping from behind the seat. When I returned to the car after leaving it to stand over night all the fluid had drained out from the drains.
Any advice on how to fix this would be great. Cheers

I’d say you have a hole in your hydraulic pipes

I would concur. It’s not air it’s high pressure oil coming out, most likely from the Number 14 pipe that goes to the bottom of the rh ram.
As you can easily fill the fluid I assume the motor is already in the boot so it’s fairly straightforward to route a new pipe in.
Where are you as there are forum members in Bristol, Lincoln and Norfolk who could do it for you and hold good replacement pipes too.
