good deal on oil

Post by Nick9one1 » Fri Oct 27, 2023 5:42 pm

I often buy this on eBay when its on offer. Great quality oil and rated to BMW LL-04

on the 35i I get 3 oil changes (6 litres x 3). That works out at £13.30 per oil change.

good deal on oil

This is a great find. Is this stuff acceptable for a 360hp tuned e89 35i on about 70k miles? Or is it advisable to go with any alternative grade?

Thanks!

It’s for sure acceptable..especially if you use the price point to change your oil more frequently..is it the best ? No…but that’s another story..

good deal on oil

Is oil over hyped, in all the years using cheap and branded oils never had any engine problems doing 3 or 5k oil changes..
More likely these extended oil changes happen if people follow the manufactures book and want stamps in book.
First service stamp in my cars book was 20k miles, bonkers if that was it's first oil change.
I started with 10k now 5k miles oil changes.

For sure for a stock engine manufacturer spec oi\o changed every 5k is a great strategy…

The OP has a tuned engine …for him an ester based oil at 5k intervals will offer better protection than a basic oil meeting BMWs minimum performance standard..

I ordered some and it arrived within a couple of days.
More than good enough oil for the way I drive the Z4, it's like Miss Daisy as I always have my wife with me :D
Thanks Nick9one1 for the find.
