Mr Tidy wrote: Mon Oct 30, 2023 10:14 pm That has to be one of the best colour combos for an E89 and there aren't too many 30is around, but it needs to have a price quoted and people will want more photos and some history details.

Add some info OP and GLWTS.
Thanks for your appreciation happy to supply plenty of pics to interested parties … I have till April / May before it “has” to go … eager to put it out there to enable someone to gather the funds 🤣🤣

If you are motivated to sell, a well written advert will give you a far better chance, especially at your asking price. If it "has to go" by April/May the closer that comes the more chance you have to revise your price.
Abstinence is fine, in moderation.

You can now buy 35i/35is consistently for £10k….maybe helped by their reputation..
What reputation is that? having just bought an N54 35i
High pressure fuel pump, adaptive dampers, turbos, fuel injectors, coils, plugs, DCT gearbox leaks, inlets coking up

Accelerated wear on coolant pumps, cam box and seals, OFHG, brakes, pads, tyres , suspension bushes , steering linkages and bushes

Usual rood problems

Apart from that faultless…..
You could say that most of that list can happen on any car, although quite happy our 35i is a manual with no adaptive dampers

Actually HPFP / injectors / turbos / adaptive dampers / the specfic coils/ the specific plugs / the DCT and the inlets are all unique to N54 powered E89s..

The other faults are generic to other N52 E89s..
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…
A very modified Atacama Yellow 35is

Well I’ve only had one and with the exception of turbos I’ve had the full set..

I do a lot of technical support for other owners and I can say that these are all common items and almost all are a matter of when not if..

Good luck.

But having had four cars with the N52 engine I'd happily save myself thousands and buy one with a higher mileage as they just seem to keep going - like the 180K E86 on another recent thread!

Although Brits do seem to be obsessed with low mileages for some reason. :?
Coupes because stunning!
Current - Silver Grey MC, Imola Red heated Nappa & carbon trim. Aeros, H & R Coil-overs, 224s, OE Strut brace, Nav, cup-holders, DSP Hi-Fi, pdc, cruise, MFSW, no CDV! E90 330i daily
Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black
