Just collected a 2.2
Mr Tidy suggested I post some pictures so here it is just arrived after driving from Devon in intermittent rain.
I am very pleased. 52000 miles. The aircon may not work, I will need to investigate. I will need a car cover.

Looks nice.
What are the symptoms?
Fan work at all speeds? If not then possibly in transport mode?
Otherwise could simply be low on gas.
Look at the compressor pulley, bottom left of the engine viewed from the front. With no aircon selected the outer part of the pulley should be spinning. Switch the aircon on and the inner part of the pulley should engage and spin the compressor.
That will confirm the system is electrically complete.

Great pictures and the best colour for a pre facelift IMHO
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

Very nice, welcome to Z4 ownership. I recommend a half-cover rather than a full cover. Keeps the rain out, much easier to get on and off, and won’t damage your paintwork.

rlavvy, Sexy car!
Hope you get the AC sorted soon.
I used a car cover for a while when I was saving up for a garage.
It kept the sun, rain, snow, dust and bird poo off my Vanessa (my car). However, the risk of micro scratches is too real. Not to mention, it is a pain removing it, then putting it back on when you are back home.
I am glad I used it though, uv rays are bad and so is bird poo, one has to whey up the pro's and con's of using a car cover.
I would recommend a cover for the roof and windshield.
I still use one, it is a godsend.
Here are a couple of screen shots of the roof cover.
Anyhoo, congratulations on the car!
