The 60’s has always been my favourite period for car design. Like many people, I often think why can’t cars look like that now? Case in point - the Alfa Romeo Stradale, one of my favourite cars of all time.

Well, they’ve only gone and built it.
Now, just need to find £1.7 m and I’m good to go!

Is that just to maintain it?

They do know how to make pretty cars, that is for sure. However their pricing (ignoring this one) just does not reflect the quality they deliver.
Current:
911-50 Black - unique spec
X5M - 575 hp of fun in a V8
Abarth 595 Comp.
Golf Clipper - collectors item
Z4 3.0si Black Sapphire
VW ID.3

Previous:
Z4M Silver Grey - non flimper spec (gone to Bing)
Z4 3.0 Toledo

It does seem that all manufacturers making 'beautiful' cars are aiming them purely at the mega-rich.
Makes a £150k Lambo or Ferrari from a few years ago seem a bargain!
£1.7m for a car is obscene IMO, no matter what it is.
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

F31 320i. Good car.
E89 20i Now fully dried
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
Mazda3 sold
Tatty old R56 Mini Cooper. Money pit!

Seems to me that the Alfa is £200k for the car, plus £1.5m for the exclusivity of them only making a handful.

I absolutely love Alfa's, but I wouldn't buy one of those.

I love AR and while this is stunning, not at £1.7m, would rather £250k on an 8C vert, probably my all time favourite car after the DB5
M4 Vert in Yas Marina Blue
2011 23i M Sport Highline in Alpine White with Smart Top installed - Gone but not forgotten.

I loved the original Stradale, but this one looks a bit over-designed if that makes sense!

And if I had that sort of budget for a toy I'd rather have a GMA T33:- https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a3562 ... -revealed/

Clean simple lines, and most importantly a screaming N/A V12 and manual gearbox.
Coupes because stunning!
Current - Silver Grey MC, Imola Red heated Nappa & carbon trim. Aeros, H & R Coil-overs, 224s, OE Strut brace, Nav, cup-holders, DSP Hi-Fi, pdc, cruise, MFSW, no CDV! E90 330i daily
Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black
