Yep that man likes it....It's difficult to peel my fingers from the wheel long enough to take pictures. Yet we all must make terrible sacrifices.

It's a part of google and great for uploading a ton of pics....granted then you link it....i guess you could post each one seperatly....I didn't try, the link was easier

zinkster, can you please explain the "surge problem" a bit? reflash was a recall item or you have to pay to get it serviced?zinkster wrote:Congratulations. Watch out for that weird surge problem at 3k rpm's. The 2003's had this problem which is fixed with a computer re-flash. Enjoy your next 20,000 miles. Best car ever, period. Zinkster

If you had the surge issue you would have known it by now. At around 3k rpm's the car would breath "surge" in and out with noticible power surging showing on the tach. A bunch of the 03's had this and it was never a re-call, fixed under warranty by re-flashing the computer. Some folks just let it be. Made me nutty especially driving at slow speeds in traffic. I do believe BMW logged this issue into their data base with the cure. I'll see if I can locate the number. Regards, Zink

The BMW fix number or PUMA # was 6303808 on 11/16/2006. They re-programmed the DME.
Also, the surging was at around 1000 to 1500 rpm's not the 3k I stated earlier (as per my notes and looking at the servioce ticket). Finally. a Jack McClure from BMW NA was brought in to check this out on my car and helped with the fix. Zink
