2003 E85 Body Mods - Looking for links and input please :)
Hi IAmOrion, mark plant inboxed me about this thread as I might have missed it.
I wouldn't recommend going the m style route.... as mentioned above Jonny Essex had his quad done there and it didn't end very well.... they do the "T" section along the inside of the bumper and then just welded it at a right angle and literally just welded a scrap piece of metal to blank off the rear of the 2nd set of tips, it really wasn't good.
BUMPER:
As stated above the //M rear bumper is for the facelift so you have 2 options here.... modify it to fit your pre facelift lights (I think this leaves a small gap which looks unfinished to me) or fit the facelift lights and then it should be a straight swap for the //M bumper.
(Also if your buying 2nd hand, don't forget to check if the small plastic grill/mesh is included)
EXHAUST:
I went with a company called EMP Performance, based in St Albans. The reason for this was a recommendation from forum member "ESP" who also had his done there as he is local. I'm so glad I listened to his advise as we are both very happy with our quads and to date havnt had a single issue.
The cost was £550, just booked it in, dropped car off in the morning (with the //M bumper already fitted by myself) went for a beer and some shopping and came back in the afternoon and it was all finished!
Some photos for reference:

Jingle your exhaust is awesome coupled with the M bumper. Massive improvement from facelift. Part of me is wishing I'd gone down that route!JINGLE wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2017 7:39 pm Hi IAmOrion, mark plant inboxed me about this thread as I might have missed it.

Iamorion; if you follow the above I'd definitely go down the facelift rear light route rather than modding the bumper.

4 self tappers screwed into the underside of the bumper, about as easy as it getsCoffee331 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2017 8:27 pmThat lip looks great....was it tricky to fit?scooobydont wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2017 2:17 pm Mine has the front lip from a SEAT Cupra, great fit and only about £47 from the bay.

It is LOW though, you will be crawling over speed bumps and will no longer be able to have the bumper overhang kerbs when parking, mine has a few war wounds since those pics were taken.

Ahh ok - I'll look to see if I can find some facelift rear lights then... I presume they're a straight swap? (As in no extra coding etc etc)JINGLE wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2017 7:39 pm Hi IAmOrion, mark plant inboxed me about this thread as I might have missed it.

Hopefully we bump into each other some time and you can hear it, people don't believe it's "only" the 4 pot 2.0i as it sounds so good!

And a mod you managed to complete!
Yeah deffo I'd love to hear it although I'm trying so hard to keep it off the list right now, I'm that impatient it'll probably be on there by the morning! (and deserves a place above a blue roof...)

Low 'LOOKS' good, practicality wise not so good. When I have to pull to a near stop at every speed bump like I'm preparing to scale Mount Everest, or when I grit my teeth through every sudden but slight incline in the road while the sparks fly from beneath and I hear the dreaded sound of carbon fiber against tarmac, I start to regret my decision to mount a front splitter.Coffee331 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2017 10:46 pmLow is good just ordered one. However, when I get out of the car and begin to walk away I take a look back at that glistening Carbon Fiber from beneath my bumper and all the regret dissipates into a self congratulate smile. Again, Looks good, practicality is a b**ch !!!
