Actually its a nightmare to drive up and down, road is very uneven and lots of blind corners, stunning views from the top though, don't you agree Metal Licker.

Hello from a newbie in Cumbria
There is a road from Braithwaite village (go left) which squiggles direct to Buttermere. Oh my Did it in Comet with my family, never again in a big car but will do it in Zeddie. Stunning views and superb picnic places along the route which are top dollar Sorry OP, off topic - the roads on your door step are simply sublime!

Hello from a newbie in Cumbria
Did the Buttermere run yesterday, came back through Honister Pass. Unfortunately it was in a Hyundai i40 - the entire drive back I was imagining how much I'd enjoy it in the Zed (I'll be back)metal licker wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2017 6:56 amI know the one you mean you can turn left at Buttermere and then have a blast over Honister Pass its one of my favourites when I'm pretending to be Carlos Sainz snrrosskins wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2017 10:42 pm There is a road from Braithwaite village (go left) which squiggles direct to Buttermere.
