Nice pictures. One thing though, I think your white balance is quite off. It is way colder than it should be, unless you're intended to make it look that way.

I'd been arsing around with the camera and yes, I think the WB is definately off! TBH I'm not sure what I did to it - might even have been a mate who borrowed it recently, but it's better now...

There's been a lot of new central Scotland members recently, so a mini-meet might be an idea perhaps. I'm still a newbie though so feel wrong calling one!BigChewy71 wrote:Nice pics there a11y!

If you're using an SLR, you can shoot in RAW format, and then fix the WB using photoshop/lightroom etc. Another way of doing it is setting the WB of the camera manually.a11y wrote:I'd been arsing around with the camera and yes, I think the WB is definately off! Cheers, someone else told me recently I should be doing that but I keep forgetting to investigate how to change it. I'm at a trackday on Saturday so intending having a good play with the camera before I go.
(it's a Canon 350d - I'm very much a beginner when it comes to cameras, first DSLR, etc.)

Fantastic location.. Go back at night with a tripod and it will look stunning!

That's on the cardsTommo wrote:Fantastic location.. Go back at night with a tripod and it will look stunning!
Just need a clear night for best effect, although there's very little ambient light down there.
My main concern would be disturbing the doggers though

Have a go at the painting with light technique over a long exposure. Looks fantastic on silver cars
